Currently a Professor at IIT Tirupati since July 2023, I bring decades of academic excellence to the department following a distinguished tenure at CUSAT. My career in academia began in 1992 as a Lecturer at CUSAT, shortly after completing my PhD at the University of Poona. I specialize in the advanced study of Time Series and Stochastic Processes.
Beyond my core research and teaching, I held several key administrative leadership roles at CUSAT, including Head of the Department of Statistics, Dean of the Faculty of Science, and Director of International Relations, as well as served as a Member of the Senate and Syndicate. My career is further distinguished by international fellowships and collaborations, including postdoctoral stints at the Universities of Birmingham and Warwick (under Commonwealth and UKIERI fellowships) and a Visiting Scientist position at TU Dresden. I maintain active research collaborations with colleagues at the University of Waterloo, Michigan State University, and the University of Helsinki.
